11 things said by people:
I think I'd still prefer to be a cabbage farmer in Bihar. As long as you allow me my iPod, unlimited songs, a connected computer, and some books.
Jus' Kiddin'. It isn't that bad. I really pity all those people who pay to study, you know. We give 4 exams this year. They've probably given about 6!! And last I heard, Aggarwals' is some Dipsite-meeting place.
"I really pity all those people who pay to study, you know."
...
I don't quite get what sampoorna's saying. Even we pay to study, don't we? (we or our parents, :P)
And I do pity u guys too. I got to know that u guys have 85 chapters overall. That is seriously tragic.
I think about 25 are maths and english. But even then it's quite a lot. A hell lot.
Well this is not the way to learn but then this is India. It seems that people think that these exams are the end of the damn world; I mean it's really pathetic who gives a damn how much you got in blah blah exam as long as you know your stuff. I would prefer to be a polymath any day, wait I'm a polymath considering the fact that I never go to any class (my parents tried to put me in tuition this year but I managed to stay out of that place too, sometimes forgetting that I had to go while hosting extremely long but enjoyable 2 hour conversations).
Go the eliezer yudkowsky way forget this shit and learn what you need to learn, what you like....
Sakshi, thing is, we'll be giving like 4 major exams this year. But people who're paying to go to Aggarwals' and stuff, are paying to give about 2-3 more exams.
When you think about it, tenth isn't all that bad. I mean, sure there're the impending Boards. But, it's been very nice. By now, nothing seems all that greatly monumental. At the beginning of the year, you'll see your books and wonder how in the world you'll do all of it. But by the end, tuitions, or no tuitions, it isn't that difficult.
Which is a complete blow for the ones who pay to study that much more. Cuz by the end, you don't need it. And around the middle, you're wondering why you took them up.
not that i know who the eliezer guy is(how many times am i supposed to say that i AM NOT a good quizzer), but the logic of "doing what u want" does sounds decent unless u have ur exams coming up...
i'm talking about general exams, i do not think that the boards or pre-boards are something worth taking tension..
yeah well. it's dumb taking coaching for boards....
though it's not if u take coaching in 10th that's not for the boards..
Subohi, "every senior" didn't study for their Pre-Boards properly.
Vanya had like 5 chapters left the day before her S.St. exam. And every other senior too tells me that tenth is a waste of time. You mustn't listen to them. It's easy for them to say that when they get 90+ % in their Boards. *Sob*.
About the current bribe rates, I think the average is about 2 chocolates. Be on the safe side. Carry half more.

"Which is a complete blow for the ones who pay to study that much more. Cuz by the end, you don't need it. And around the middle, you're wondering why you took them up."
This is getting a little bit personal.
*i didn't get personal*
Hmm.
